The company’s capabilities also extend from the manufacture of hi-tech polymer bearings for use in heavy-duty hydraulic motors to the refurbishment of high-temperature turbine rotor blades. The company was formed in 1953 and in that time it has gained tremendous experience in a wide variety of precision engineering disciplines.
With a fully equipped toolroom including a substantial wire erosion and spark erosion capacity coupled with a brilliant engineering team, North can provide a total tooling solution for customers from design and manufacture through product sampling and production. This is reflected in the press shop which, with the support of the toolroom, operates at a high level of efficiency.
With almost 40 presses ranging from 5 tons to 250 tons and over 50 years experience North have the ability to manufacture any component in the most accurate and cost-effective way. Current presswork or stampings include progression work, secondary operation presswork, finishing, drilling, riveting, tapping, studding, welding and assembly work.
North also have gained considerable expertise in the fabrication of specialist assemblies for the North Sea Oil Industry.
Our quality control system for production and administration is geared for efficient response to any customer engineering, production or delivery requirement and is, of course, supported by a formal BS EN ISO 9001:2020 approval.
